1. Overview

These Terms of Service, referred to as "Terms", govern your use of the Assay Atelier website and any orders placed through it. By accessing or using this site, you agree to these Terms.

The site is operated by Assay Atelier Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17290909, with its registered office at Suite 6 C1 Coalport House, Stafford Court, Stafford Park 1, Telford, TF3 3BD, United Kingdom. References to "we", "us", and "our" are to Assay Atelier Ltd.

2. Products

We design and sell hardware products such as bracelets, watch straps, and related components that act as wearable vaults for your own gold bars. Unless explicitly stated, our products do not include gold itself. You provide your own bars.

We aim to describe and display our products accurately, but small variations in color, finish, or dimensions may occur.

3. Orders & payment

When you place an order, you agree that all information provided is accurate and complete. We reserve the right to accept or reject any order.

Payment is processed securely through third-party providers. Your order is not confirmed until payment is successfully completed and you receive an order confirmation email.

4. Shipping & delivery

Estimated shipping times and target delivery dates are provided as guidance only. Actual delivery times may vary due to production, logistics, customs, or other factors outside our control.

You are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees that may apply in your country.

5. Returns & cancellations

You may return any standard product within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, provided it is unused and in its original condition and packaging. Return instructions are included with your order confirmation. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the item.

If you are a consumer in the UK, you also have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Our 30-day window is in addition to, and does not reduce, that right.

Made-to-measure or personalised items cannot be returned unless they are faulty, as permitted by law. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights if a product is faulty or not as described.

6. Use of our products

Our products are designed to host compatible gold bars within specific size and dimension ranges. It is your responsibility to ensure that the gold you use complies with our compatibility guidelines.

We are not responsible for damage to bars or other assets resulting from misuse, modification, or use outside our published recommendations.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, images, designs, and logos, is owned by Assay Atelier Ltd or used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute this content without our prior written consent.

ASSAY ATELIER is a trade mark of Assay Atelier Ltd and is the subject of UK trade mark application no. UK00004410664, filed on 2 July 2026 in classes 14 and 35. You may not use it, or any confusingly similar mark, without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or our products. Our total liability in connection with any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, and the "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
